Jacqueline Fernandez, a Miss Sri Lanka Universe of 2006, is commonly known for
her Bollywood acting. Though she is natively a Sri Lankan she has established a
strong place in Bollywood. Once she worked as a journalist after completing her
graduation in Mass Communication. Then she took the master opportunity to be a
model. She could able to be the Miss Sri Lanka Universe 2006 only for her
beauty, glamour and most importantly her strong determination. She was also
represented herself at Miss Universe 2006 by the help of this success.
Acting Career
While her modeling business in 2009,
she was offered to perform in Bollywood film. She received the great
opportunity cordially and worked as a leading character, Jasmine in the film,
Aladin for which she was given the Stardust Award for Best Exciting face,IIFA
Award for Star Debut of the Year etc. Her second as well as action thriller
film, Murder 2(2011) by Mohit Suri was both critically and commercially
successful. Following the other film she was seen in the comedy film, Houseful
2(2012) which was also her mention worthy successful work. In 2013 she was
presented in a action film, Race 2 which deals note worthy box office success.
Her recent success in the film, Kick made her a part and parcel of Bollywod
film. This film has received the highest grossing record in Hindi film
industry.
Early
life and pageantry
Fernandez was come into the earth on
August 11, 1985. It is known that her family belongs to a mixed ethnic as her
father is natively a Sri Lankan, where her mother came from Malaysia and
Canada. It is also known that her great-grandparents lived at Goa, India. Among
four children, she was the youngest. Though she past a long time in Bahrain,
she grew in Sri Lanka according to herself. Wishing to be a TV reporter she
completed a graduation in Mass Communication from a reputed university in
Australia. In her early career, she was seen working as TV journalist. Still
she had a soft place to be an actress. She remained waiting to be offered for a
acting career. She was also discovered as model then. After a long run, she was
proposed to have a leading character in the film, Aladin. In this way, she was
established herself in competitive Bollywood industry.
