Ileana D'Cruz
Ileana D'Cruz (born 1 November 1987) is recently established herself as a
leading actress in the film sector of Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu etc. She was
found born on November 01, 1987. In her early acting career she was seen acting
in Telugu film. It is noted that she was given the Filmfare Award for Best
Female Debut for Devadasu(2006). Then she was very much with a number of Telugu
films. She has already established herself in Telugu film. But it was a big
lack for her not to involve in Hindi film industry.
Finally her dream came true with the
opportunity to perform as a critical challenging character in the film,”Barfi”
for which she was warmly praised and more importantly received the most
prestigious award The Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
Early
life and education
D'Cruz`s birth place was Mumbai
where she lived till the age of 10. She along with her family sifted to Goa for
a long time. Her first name Ileana was taken from the Greek mythology which
means Helen of Troy. It was interesting to know that she speaks in Konkani
language as her mother tongue.
D`Cruz appears an attractive as well
beautiful face from her childhood. The manager where her mother worked,
suggested her mother to have a right use of D`Cruz. He supposed her as a
successful modeling career. Inspiring from the speech, she herself tried to
establish herself. By a photo shot, she got a chance as a model in a few ads
including Electrolux, Emami Talc, Fair and Lovely etc. Film director Rakesh Roshan was also helpful
about her acting exposing and getting the acting offers that is why she was
also very much lucky.
