Asin
Asin Thottumkal commonly named as Asin is occupationally a Bollywood
actress and trained dancer. She was come to the earth on October 26, 1985. She
established a strong place in recent place, though she was found in the South
Indian Film at the very beginning of her acting career .It is noted that she can able to speak at least seven
languages. That is why she was seen dubbing her own films. Once, she was
recognized as the Queen of Tamil film.
Acting Career
Asin began her acting career by acting in a Tamil
film Narendran Makan
Jayakanthan Vaka
(2001), but did not get such
remarkable success. She then performed in Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi, a Telugu
film which could able to make commercial success. She was earned a Filmfare
Best Telegu Actress Award only for the extraordinary work in that film. She was
also earned a Filmfare Best Tamil Actress Award for the most commercially
successful film, Ghajini (2005).
At the
very end of 2008, Asin was discovered in Bollywood by a action thriller film,
Ghajini, for which she was given the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award in the
same year. The film was such commercially successful film that could be able to
earn US$31million.She was seen acting in a number of big commercially
successful films like Ready, Houseful 2, Bol Bacchan etc.
Early
life
Asin birth land was Cochin recently
known as Kochi, Kerala .Her parents, Joseph Thottumkal conducted a number of
businesses and Seline Thottumkal is a professional surgeon. According to a
close source, Asin was called as Mary. But her father managed her name as Asin having a meaning. According to
herself, the first word 'A' was taken from Sanskrit which means without and the ‘sin’ was taken from English.
Asin started schooling at Naval
Public School. She was also seen going the St.Teresa School, Kochi. She
completed her college chapter at St.Teresa`s College, Kochi. She studied her
bachelors of Arts degree in English Literature from MG University.
Personal
life
Asin is now seen living in
Lokhandwala,Mumbai. An apartment in Marine Drive,Kochi and a
farmhouse,Vagamon,Kerala are owned by herself.
Asin is such an actress who can
speak in seven several languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam (mother
tongue), French, and Sanskrit. She had to control the Marathi language for the
acting as a Marathi girl in Khiladi 786. She has also shown business in learning
Spanish language too.
